The Chemical Brothers have announced a limited edition pink vinyl 12 inch of Grammy winning single ‘Got To Keep On’. Celebrating the launch of The Design Museum exhibition: Electronic: From Kraftwerk To The Chemical Brothers, this limited collector’s edition features an extended version of The Chemical Brothers’ live favourite plus the Midland remix. This is the first time either of these tracks have been made available on vinyl.

Since its release as a single from their double Grammy winning album No Geography in February 2019, Got To Keep On has cemented itself as a pivotal moment in the band’s live set, partly due to the striking visuals associated with it.

For the next few months, Got To Keep On will provide the soundtrack to a unique installation by long term Chemical Brothers’ collaborators Smith & Lyall as part of the Design Museum’s groundbreaking Electronic: From Kraftwerk to The Chemical Brothers exhibition. There, visitors will get the chance to step inside the visual world of The Chemical Brothers legendary live show as film and lights interact to create a three-dimensional immersive experience by inspired by Tom and Ed’s massively acclaimed No Geography tour.

“We are thrilled that Electronic at the Design Museum will be opening soon. It feels especially important in these times to celebrate the transformative power of music, art and design.Sharing this experience (safely) will, we hope, bring some welcome joy to anyone who visits.

“Our aim for the Chemical Brothers live show has always been to create a visual expression of the music and give the audience a visceral experience. We are excited to translate this to a museum setting for the first time.

“The visuals for Got To Keep On were initially inspired by fashion catwalk shows and 80’s New York Ballroom culture. This movement concept was combined with geometrically-themed costumes, initially visualized in 3D software. This CG character design approach was then deliberately transformed by using real performers and custom-made costumes. We creatively collaborated with the amazing Amit Lahav of Gecko Theatre who choreographed the piece. The dancers were shot in a studio using a combination of large-scale film lighting and theatrical strobe lighting.The varying light effects play off the form of the performers in costume to createa striking high-fashion look.”
